“Growing & Changing” 💐 💀 Wood Burned Plank w Watercolor
I just adore how this one turned out! An evolution on the idea of my skull plants; this time with beautiful floral blossoms. The skull plant is evolving, healing, but still has a few sharp little thorns on the stem, so do not cross them! They are still strong and protected and willing to look out for themselves.
I wood burned this on a lovely wooden plank, added soft watercolors and a matte varnish to keep the piece soft and muted. The varnish will protect the piece from chipping or fading. Please note that this is an authentic piece of wood, and should still be handled with care (for example: the bark edges will chip apart if messed with). A sawtooth hanger is hammered into the back, so you can immediately display in your home. This item also looks darling on a shelf (please see pics, there are multiple ways you can style this).
*Also: Please see pic 3 with the close up where there is a natural mark in the wood. I tried with all my might to sand it and get rid of it, but it wasn’t budging. I think it isn’t too bad. Kind of looks like pencil, but it isn’t.
